Length of Treatments:

Acupuncture and Herbs work in a series of treatments, it works cumulatively, and in order to continue building on your progress, clients generally need a series of 4-6 treatments to begin with. Depending on your condition, treatment times may vary. Once symptoms begin to remit in between treatments, without returning, you can start to cut back the number of sessions until we have reached your maximum healing capacity. I encourage all patients to continue with seasonal tune-ups for their overall health and wellness.

Thanks, I look forward to working with you! -Amanda

More about my practice:

Amanda Brown is the owner and founder of the Tucson Herb Store, which she began back in 2003. The Herb Store has become a place for her to mix her creative pursuits with her love of healing, herbs, and community. She has worked for two decades providing expert care to her customers at the shop as well as worked privately with clients in a clinical setting.

Amanda graduated from Arizona School of Oriental Medicine in 2013 with a Masters in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. She is deeply passionate about the wisdom and depth of healing that Chinese Medicine has to offer. She also has a sound understanding of both western and Chinese herbal medicine, knowing the complexities of their actions and how to custom formulate.

As a trained and licensed Somatic Experiencing practitioner, Amanda’s practice is deeply informed by her work in settling imbalances of the nervous system. She likes to know where her clients are struggling with their health and help them to bring their own inner resilience back online. Her integration of somatic work into her herbal medicine and acupuncture practice further supports patients in feeling more settled and stable in their healing process.
